In 2001, the Handy Paint Pail was introduced in a classic DIY style by Mark Bergman. While painting around his house using a standard "coffee can" paint container, Mark's hand started to tire. To alleviate this issue, he created a strap out of duct tape, giving birth to the Handy Paint Pail. With its built-in bracket, magnetic brush holder, roller grid, and tool and rag holder, this multi-use pail is perfect for projects both on and off a ladder.

Bercom made significant changes and enhancements to their products in 2008, starting with the color of their pails. They decided to switch from producing gray pails to a more eye-catching red color. The Pro Series Paint Pail was transformed into the Handy Roller Pail, lighter in weight and more cost-effective. Additionally, the Handy Ladder Hook was created in response to customer requests for a way to attach the Roller Pail to a ladder.

The Handy Paint Cup, introduced in 2008, was a huge success. While it may not have all the features of the original Handy Paint Pail, it offers customers an affordable alternative.
